Bing Wallpaper for Mac:
The Daily Photo, on macOS
Microsoft's Bing Wallpaper app is Windows-only — Mac users get nothing. This free, open-source menu-bar app fills the gap: it fetches the Bing daily image and sets it as your Mac wallpaper, automatically, every day.
Direct download from GitHub Releases. Free for everyone, forever.
What it does
- A new wallpaper every day — checks for the latest Bing daily image every 30 minutes and applies it automatically.
- Lives in your menu bar — preview today's photo, go back to previous days, pause or refresh with one click.
- Theme collections — curated sets that rotate one image per day, alongside the daily Bing photo.
- Starts at login — set it once and forget it; it also refreshes right after your Mac wakes from sleep.
- Private by design — images are stored locally on your Mac; there is no account, no telemetry, and nothing is uploaded.
How to install
- Download the DMG from the button above.
- Open it and drag Bing Wallpaper into your Applications folder.
- Launch it from Applications — look for the icon in your menu bar. That's it: today's Bing photo is now your wallpaper, and tomorrow's will arrive on its own.
The app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without the "unidentified developer" warning.
